CDH MARKS 53 YEARS OF PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE

The Concepcion District Hospital (CDH) celebrated its 53rd founding anniversary on July 17, 2025, with Governor Christian Yap, 3rd District Representative Bong Rivera, and Concepcion Mayor Noel Villanueva joining the hospital staff and other healthcare partners in commemorating over five decades of service.

The celebration, led by Chief-of-Hospital II Dr. Resurrecion Quiambao, featured various activities such as vegetable planting, nutrition counseling, a zumba session, and a bloodletting drive themed “Dugong Alay, Karugtong ay Buhay.”

In his keynote address, Governor Yap commended the CDH team for their consistent dedication to public service:

“Happy 53rd Anniversary, Concepcion District Hospital! Salamat sa 53 taon ng malasakit at serbisyo para sa mga taga-Concepcion. Mabuhay ang lahat ng doctors, nurses, at staff na patuloy na nag-aalaga at nagliligtas ng buhay.”

He also emphasized the need to change the perception of CDH as merely an emergency hospital, saying the facility now offers more comprehensive healthcare services that meet the broader medical needs of the community.

Congressman Rivera and Mayor Villanueva also gave their messages of support. Rivera further reinforced his commitment through the donation of 90 bed mattresses, 6 water dispensers, and 10 wheelchairs, which were received by Dr. Quiambao and MPA-HM Olivia Sacramento.

Located in Brgy. St. Jude, Concepcion, CDH is a five-story, Level 1, PhilHealth-accredited hospital with a 50-bed capacity. It provides a range of services including emergency care, radiology, pharmacy, pediatrics, OB-Gyne, general medicine and surgery, dentistry, and outpatient services such as family planning, HIV/STD, and TB clinics.

CDH serves patients from the third district municipalities of Concepcion, Capas, Bamban, and La Paz.
