Cebu Pacific (CEB) is increasing its hand-carry baggage allowance for passengers flying on Cebu Pacific (5J) flights starting September 15, 2026, as part of efforts to make boarding more convenient and efficient.
Under the updated policy, passengers on 5J flights may bring up to 10kg total hand-carry items**, up from the previous 7kg allowance. Flights operated by Cebgo (DG) will continue to have a total hand-carry allowance of up to 7kg.
The policy allows passengers to bring a maximum of two (2) pieces of hand-carry items:
- One (1) hand-carry baggage – to be placed in the overhead bin
- One (1) personal item – to fit under the seat in front
Passengers are reminded that they should be able to comfortably lift and stow their hand-carry baggage in the overhead bin themselves or place their personal item under the seat.
Hand-carry items must also comply with the following size limits:
- Hand-carry baggage: up to 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm
- Personal item: up to 20 cm × 35 cm × 20 cm
CEB said the updated policy will give passengers greater flexibility while helping cabin crew manage baggage efficiently, complete pre-departure procedures on time and keep flights on schedule.
Passengers are advised to keep their hand-carry items within the allowed number, size and weight limits. Items exceeding CEB’s limits will have to be checked in, subject to applicable baggage fees.
For convenience, passengers may pre-purchase or add checked baggage allowance through the Manage Booking portal using their MyCebuPacific accounts.
Online check-in is also available through the CEB mobile app and website, allowing passengers without checked baggage to proceed directly to their assigned boarding gates.
CEB currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
