Here is the list of celebrities-turned-politician that were voted and proclaimed after the 2022 National Elections.
Action star Robin Padilla topped the senatorial race on his first try, exceeding pre-election survey results where he usually ranked between 3rd to 4th place.
Actress Lucy Torres-Gomez was proclaimed winner of the mayoral race in Ormoc City, Leyte on Tuesday May 10 while her husband incumbent Mayor Richard Gomez was elected congressman for Leyte’s 4th District.
Jason Abalos, Provincial Board Member, 4th District, Nueva Ecija Actor Arjo Atayde was elected congressman of Quezon City’s 1st District.
Actor and Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus winner Ejay Falcon was proclaimed vice-governor of Oriental Mindoro.
Actor and incumbent Cavite Vice-Governor Jolo Revilla will take on the position of Cavite’s 1st District representative. Lani Mercado-Revilla, meanwhile, won her bid for Cavite’s 2nd District by landslide.
Daniel Fernando, meanwhile, was re-elected for a second term as governor in Bulacan. Councilors include: Actor Nash Aguas is set to enter politics for the first time as a Cavite City councilor.
Aiko Melendez and Alfred Vargas are councilors in Quezon City Dist 5.
