Kapampangan chef Felix Niño Asuncion joined a group of Filipino chefs who came together for the 6th iLa Paella Gigante, turning a large-scale culinary showcase into a charity-driven initiative.
Using around 100 kilos of rice, fresh shrimp, and assorted vegetables cooked in a massive pan, members of Les Toques Blanches Philippines, led by president JA Ventura prepared the iconic Spanish dish not just to highlight their craft, but to support a cause.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Sociedad Española de Beneficencia, a foundation dedicated to caring for elderly individuals in need.

Asuncion emphasized that the gathering went beyond cooking, describing it as a collective effort of chefs “united for something bigger,” underscoring how the culinary community continues to use its craft to serve and uplift others.
