Last October 19, the Marriott Worldwide Business Council (MWBC) Philippines and the Marriott Next Gen Business Council celebrated a decade of making a difference with the Road to Give 2024: Kolor Run, held at the Clark Parade Grounds. The event brought together Marriott properties from across the country and members of the local community, all running for a shared cause.
Dottie Wurgler-Cronin, Chair of MWBC Philippines and General Manager of Sheraton Cebu Mactan, expressed gratitude for the strong support behind their mission. She highlighted the event as a reflection of Marriott’s commitment to service, saying, “With over 1,300 runners and support from our generous sponsors, this year’s event marks a special milestone as we celebrate 10 years of community impact.”
Jenny Imbag Rivera, Chair of the Marriott Next Gen Business Council and Director of Sales at Clark Marriott, emphasized how the charity run combined health and fitness with a meaningful cause. “The Kolor Run is not just about running but also about giving back, helping to improve children’s welfare and supporting our associates in their times of need,” she said.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Save the Children Philippines and the Marriott Philippines Associates Welfare and Recovery Fund (MPAWER), focusing on supporting Filipino children and Marriott employees during difficult times. Through this initiative, Marriott continues to extend its hospitality beyond hotel walls, promoting wellness and community service.
