MAASIM, Sarangani — Local authorities have begun clearing operations along the national highway in Barangay Tinoto following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the Soccsksargen region on Monday, June 8.

The clearing efforts are being carried out to remove debris and ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic in the affected area.

Mayor Xyrex Pacquiao said the local government continues to assess the situation and respond to the effects of the powerful earthquake.

He also urged residents to remain vigilant and prepared for possible aftershocks, as seismic activity may continue in the coming hours and days.
