Pampanga First District Congressman Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony of The Medical District Diagnostic Center in Angeles City on June 18, highlighting his continued support for improving healthcare services in Central Luzon.

Lazatin earlier disclosed that he is seeking P40 million in funding for the rehabilitation of Rural Health Units (RHUs) in Mabalacat City and the Municipality of Magalang in 2026.

During his tenure as mayor of Angeles City, Lazatin spearheaded the construction and rehabilitation of health centers and sub-health centers across various barangays to improve access to primary healthcare services.

By the end of his term as city mayor, Angeles City had 15 health centers, achieving a ratio of one health center for every 30,000 residents.
