Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has been recognized by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) for its efforts to promote data privacy awareness among children and young people, earning the Kabataang Digital Award during the 2026 Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) Awards.

The award honors initiatives that empower and protect children through digital responsibility, privacy education, and safeguards for personal data.

Converge received the recognition for Project PIGLET (Privacy Integration through Guided Learning of Emerging Technologies), a program launched in 2024 by the company’s Corporate Governance and Data Privacy Group to strengthen digital literacy and privacy awareness among school-age children.

Using interactive storytelling and a space-themed adventure, the program teaches children as young as seven years old about online safety, the risks of the digital world, and practical ways to protect their personal information. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to participate, reinforcing the shared responsibility of safeguarding children’s digital privacy.

Project PIGLET has been implemented in schools across Metro Manila, Mindoro, and Pampanga, as well as among Converge employees and their families.

Esteban-Tuason said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to using technology for social good and ensuring that children remain protected as access to digital connectivity continues to expand.

The Privacy Awareness Week Awards recognize organizations and individuals that have made significant contributions to advancing data privacy and responsible data processing in the Philippines.
