The Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Tarlac 2nd District Engineering Office have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the construction of four farm-to-market roads (FMRs) in Concepcion, Tarlac.
The ₱71.9-million project will fund the concreting of farm-to-market roads serving four barangays, aimed at improving access and connectivity for agricultural communities and facilitating the transport of farm products.
DA Regional Executive Director Eduardo Lapuz, Jr. and DPWH District Engineer Edward Ricardo Ramos signed the agreement.
Also present were DA Regional Technical Director Dr. Arthur Dayrit and DPWH Planning and Design Assistant Chief Engr. Michael Valdez.
DA Undersecretary Arrey Perez also delivered a message highlighting various development projects being implemented by the agency in Tarlac and other parts of the country.
The project is expected to strengthen rural connectivity and provide farmers with better access to markets, helping improve the movement of agricultural products from farms to consumers.
