The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has established the Forest River Park in Towerville, Barangay Minuyan Proper, City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, transforming a portion of the Chalo River easement into a public green space.
Developed under the Manila Bay Rehabilitation Program, the park was recently turned over to the city government. It features a riverside view deck, shaded seating areas, landscaped open spaces, and recreational amenities while helping protect the river from encroachment and preserve existing trees.
DENR also distributed tree seedlings during the turnover as part of its continuing urban greening efforts.
The Forest River Park is one of 27 linear parks established by the DENR in Central Luzon to promote environmental protection, sustainable urban development, and community participation in conservation.
