The Department of Justice (DOJ) has secured the conviction of a mother who sold private photos, videos, and live lewd performances of her own daughter online.
The Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 86 sentenced the mother, identified as BBB, to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₱2 million for violating Section 4(a) of Republic Act No. 11930, also known as the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act.

The case originated from a report by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regarding alleged Filipino facilitators of OSAEC. This led to a joint investigation by the Philippine National Police Women and Children Protection Center Luzon Field Unit.
Authorities discovered that the mother was selling explicit content of her daughter through an online messaging app. An entrapment operation was conducted, leading to the mother’s arrest.
Co-accused CCC, alleged to be the owner of the payment account used in the transactions, was acquitted due to insufficient evidence.
Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” C. Remulla commended the prosecution team for their dedication in achieving this conviction, emphasizing the duty of parents to protect their children from harm and exploitation.
