The Department of Transportation (DOTr) conducted an inspection today at The Meadows relocation site in Biñan, Laguna, where 2,030 housing units are being constructed by the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) for families affected by the North–South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.

Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez reiterated President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to complete all relocation sites by the end of 2026 to ensure timely and humane resettlement.

Joining the inspection were DOTr Assistant Secretary IC Calaguas, members of the NSCR Project Management Team led by Ralph Gonzales, and SHFC representative Engr. Renalyn Nacpil.

The initiative forms part of the government’s commitment to provide safe, adequate, and accessible housing for communities impacted by major transport infrastructure projects.
