DPWH COMPLETES P10.86-MILLION MULTIPURPOSE FACILITY IN ORION, BATAAN

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a P10.86-million, one-story multipurpose facility in Orion, Bataan, providing residents with a dedicated space for community activities and gatherings.

Spanning 342 square meters, the facility is situated in 1Bataan Village, Barangay Daan Pare. It serves as a much-needed venue for social interaction and engagement, benefiting thousands of families, including those displaced by the 2019 Barangay Capunitan fire and other informal settlers.

DPWH Bataan 2nd OIC-District Engineer Roland Rainier Victorino emphasized the significance of the project, noting that residents previously had to travel elsewhere for community events due to the lack of suitable facilities.

“This project directly addresses that need, giving residents a convenient space for various activities,” Victorino said, adding that the facility can also be used for religious services.

Funded under the 2024 national budget, the multipurpose hall is equipped with comfort rooms, lighting fixtures, and proper ventilation, ensuring a functional and accessible venue for the community.
