DSWD releases cash aid for TNVS drivers in Central Luzon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) continued the rapid distribution of cash relief assistance for TNVS drivers in Central Luzon on Wednesday, May 27.

Despite the declaration of a regular holiday, the payout proceeded at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center through the joint effort of the DSWD and the Provincial Government of Pampanga.

A total of 2,257 TNVS drivers in the province received ₱5,000 each in cash assistance, broken down as follows:

  • Grab – 2,149 drivers
  • Para Express – 87 drivers
  • Maxim – 9 drivers
  • Hail Transport – 12 drivers

Governor Lilia ‘Nanay’ Pineda, along with members of the provincial board, attended the payout activity and expressed support for the program.

Aside from financial aid, the provincial government also distributed food packs and maintenance medicines to beneficiaries.

Payouts for other TNVS drivers in the region will continue in the coming days, and beneficiaries are advised to await official schedules from their respective Transport Network Companies and service providers.
