DTI eyes global market for Central Luzon OTOP Products

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) aims to bring more “Levelled-Up” One Town, One Product (OTOP) products from Central Luzon micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to the Likhang Filipino Pavilion of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).

During the opening of the Level-Up Creative Fair at Robinsons Place Malolos, DTI Regional Director Edna Dizon said the agency is enhancing product quality through the OTOP Next Generation Program, focusing on capacity building, market access, packaging, capital, and shelf life to meet global standards.

Products showcased at the Likhang Filipino Pavilion will not only be displayed but may also be featured in international trade fairs and exhibitions organized by CITEM, creating wider export opportunities for local businesses.

The Level-Up Creative Fair, now a regional trade fair, features 42 MSMEs from across Central Luzon offering food, fashion, handicrafts, home décor, wellness products, artworks, and other creative goods that highlight the region’s culture and identity.

DTI Bulacan Provincial Director Coco Chanel Garcia-Yap said the fair also serves as a platform for MSMEs to expand their markets, build business partnerships, and connect with bulk buyers, while the agency continues to provide digitalization training to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
