Fuel Subsidy Program continues for Public Utility Vehicle drivers

The government’s Fuel Subsidy Program for Public Utility Vehicles (PUVs) remains in effect, providing continued assistance to qualified drivers amid fuel costs.

Under the program, the Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and Land Bank of the Philippines, grants eligible drivers a ₱10 discount per liter of diesel.

Qualified beneficiaries may avail of the subsidy for up to 150 liters per week, translating to potential savings of as much as ₱1,500 weekly.

The initiative aims to help reduce operational expenses for PUV drivers and support their daily income through a coordinated whole-of-government approach.
