Governor Christian Tell Yap and Mayor Susan Yap led the awarding of Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Tarlac State University (TSU) scholarships during a ceremony held at the TSU gymnasium on September 23.

A total of 884 TSU students benefited from the “Tulong Dunong” program — 55 from the first district, 779 from the second district, and 50 from the third district. The scholarship program aims to support the financial needs of deserving students.

Gov. Yap thanked CHED and TSU for their continued partnership in advancing educational programs, while Mayor Yap said the assistance is not only financial support but also an inspiration for students to persevere and pursue their dreams.

TSU President Dr. Arnold Velasco also attended the awarding ceremony.
