The Municipality of Guagua has been selected as one of the official visiting locations for the ASEAN 2026 Philippines Summit and Related Summits, highlighting the town’s rich cultural and historical heritage on the regional stage.

As part of the ASEAN Regional Dialogue on Cultural Heritage Protection, delegates from various Southeast Asian nations were scheduled to visit the historic Betis Church, officially known as Santiago Apostol Parish Church, on June 23.

The inclusion of Guagua in the summit’s official itinerary underscores the town’s significance as a cultural destination and reflects ongoing efforts to preserve and promote Kapampangan heritage.

Local officials and residents prepared to extend warm Kapampangan hospitality to the visiting delegates as they experience the municipality’s historical landmarks and cultural treasures.
