In communities still reeling from the effects of Habagat flooding, a helping hand arrived for families facing the difficult task of rebuilding their daily lives.

The Hann Foundation, Inc. (HFI), through its signature disaster relief initiative Project BayaniHANN, reached out to flood-affected families in San Simon, Sasmuan, Guagua, Masantol, Macabebe, and San Luis from September 15 to 17.

A total of 2,620 families received relief packages containing food and essential supplies to help them cope with the immediate impact of the flooding and begin their recovery.

Behind the effort were Hann employee volunteers who gave their time and energy to ensure that assistance reached communities most in need, including those in hard-to-reach areas.

The relief operation was carried out with the support of local government units, community leaders, and the Philippine Air Force-Civil Military Operations, whose coordination helped bring the assistance closer to affected families.

For eight years, HFI has sustained Project BayaniHANN as an expression of its commitment to communities facing disasters and other difficult circumstances.

While relief packs cannot erase the hardships left by a disaster, HFI said the simple act of extending help and solidarity can bring comfort—and remind affected families that, in times of crisis, they are not alone.
