KapaMu Jazz Collective to mark International Jazz Day in Angeles City

The KapaMu Jazz Collective will stage a special live performance on April 30 at 8:30 p.m. at Blackfish in celebration of International Jazz Day.

Observed annually through UNESCO, International Jazz Day highlights jazz as a platform for dialogue, peace, and cultural exchange, bringing together communities worldwide to honor the genre’s heritage and unifying power.

The group was founded in 2013 by Conrado Titus del Rosario following his return to Angeles City after 32 years in Berlin, Germany. Del Rosario, who plays alto saxophone and piano, is joined by Donnie Castro on guitar, Benson Go on bass, and Zoe Nathaniel Guevarra on drums. The ensemble won the 2022 Aliw Award for Best Group in Bars and Restaurant.

KapaMu Jazz Collective is set to deliver an evening of instrumental jazz that blends tradition and innovation, showcasing their signature dynamic interplay and musical range.

The performance aims to highlight jazz not only as an art form, but as a shared language of creativity and connection.
