Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Mark T. Lapid led an inspection of key tourism projects in Pampanga, reaffirming support for initiatives aimed at boosting domestic tourism.
Accompanied by his brother, PCL President BM Maynard T. Lapid, and TIEZA’s Engr. Gregory Oller, Lapid visited the Parroquia de San Agustin and the Lubao Bamboo Hub, where local officials expressed gratitude for the agency’s continued assistance. Lubao Mayor Esmie Pineda and Councilor Jayson Victorino welcomed the delegation.

Among the major projects supported by TIEZA is the ₱30-million restoration of the historic San Agustin Church, underscoring efforts to preserve local heritage. The Bamboo Hub, meanwhile, has received ₱40 million for its Phase 2 development, following earlier funding of ₱23.5 million for Phase 1, which includes the Hanging Bridge and Floating Market.
Lapid also inspected the solar lighting project at Sta. Rita Eco Park extending to the Sta. Barbara Bridge in Bacolor, aimed at enhancing safety and tourism appeal in the area.
He reiterated TIEZA’s commitment to sustain infrastructure and tourism development projects in Pampanga and other parts of the country to further strengthen local economies and attract more visitors.
