It’s full speed ahead for the production and placement of oil spill booms by the personnel of the Pampanga Provincial Capitol, with the assistance of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Department of the Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in the coastal areas of the province.

This initiative is one of the ways undertaken by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda to protect the province against the oil spill.

As of August 6, Pampanga has already produced 945 oil spill booms. Earlier, the PCG personnel and the volunteers had already installed oil spill booms in Barangays Mabuanbuan and Batang 2nd in Sasmuan and Bangcal Pugad in Lubao.
