Two newly acquired automated sweeper trucks have begun operating along MacArthur Highway, marking a major step in the city’s push for improved road cleanliness and efficiency.
Mayor Geld Aquino announced the deployment during the Monday flag-raising ceremony, highlighting the trucks as part of the city’s “Clean Smart Mabalacat” program. He said the addition of modern equipment, including a trash compactor, will help speed up waste collection and ensure cleaner major roads across the city.

The initiative forms part of the administration’s broader efforts to enhance public services and maintain a cleaner urban environment for residents.
During the ceremony, Aquino was joined by members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, department heads, government employees, and representatives from the police and fire services.
The mayor also expressed gratitude to frontliners and partner organizations for ensuring a safe and orderly observance of Holy Week.
