The Mabalacat City Government provided a P3,000 cash subsidy to teachers in the city as part of its Teachers’ Day celebration, recognizing their contribution to educating and shaping the city’s youth.
Mabalacat City Mayor Atty. Geld Aquino joined the celebration with Vice Mayor Jun Castro, Councilors Marjorie Sambo, Patricia Acorda and Benny Jocson, and Mabalacat City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ma. Carmen Cuenco.
Aquino highlighted the vital role of teachers in shaping the future of Mabalaqueñian students and assured educators of his administration’s continuing support for programs addressing their needs and welfare.
During the celebration, Aquino also announced plans for the Mabalacat City Science High School, as well as the Dolores Elementary School and a new Bundagul Elementary School, as part of efforts to expand educational facilities and opportunities in the city.
Mayor Geld said the city government will continue pursuing programs and projects aimed at strengthening the education sector and providing better opportunities for Mabalaqueñian learners.
