Mayor Malu P. Lacson said the local government has yet to receive the final search warrant implementation report and official laboratory findings concerning social media claims of alleged “confirmed nuclear waste” in Barangay Navaling.

In an official statement, Lacson stressed that the determination of radioactive materials and potential health risks must be based on scientific examination and official reports, rather than assumptions or unverified information circulating online.

The mayor said the Municipal Government of Magalang is coordinating with concerned national government agencies and will formally request all pertinent documents and findings related to the recent operation.

Lacson assured residents that the local government will take immediate and decisive action should official reports confirm any threat to public health and safety.

She also urged the public to remain calm, exercise prudence, and refrain from spreading unverified information that could cause unnecessary fear and alarm, emphasizing that facts, science, and due process should guide the community.
