Mayor Michael Galang personally inspected a collapsed portion of the dike along the San Pedro–Gumain River on Friday afternoon amid continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.

Galang was accompanied by representatives of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to assess the condition and extent of damage caused by the persistent rainfall.

The local government continues to monitor the affected area and coordinate with concerned agencies to address potential flooding risks and ensure the safety of residents.
