City of San Fernando Mayor Vilma Caluag has called on the public to preserve a safe and peaceful welcoming of new year in the City of San Fernando – urging everyone to abide with the existing regulations on the use of firecrackers and other items.



This was transpired during an inspection of firecracker retail stalls in Barangays San Juan and Baliti, respectively, where the stores’ compliance with regulations were checked.
Joining Caluag were personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Public Order and Safety Coordinating Office, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Business License and Permit Division.
The stalls will operate until their supplies last.
According to the PNP, these are the allowed, regulated, and prohibited firecrackers in the country:
