The Municipality of Mexico successfully held the Fiestang Mexicano Farmer’s Day 2026, paying tribute to local farmers for their vital role in sustaining the community’s food supply and agricultural productivity.
The event, led by Mayor Rodencio “Ruding” S. Gonzales, with the support of Vice Mayor Doc Pangan and the Sangguniang Bayan, recognized the dedication and discipline of farmers who form the backbone of the town’s agricultural sector.
The program was organized through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist headed by Lauly Pineda, in coordination with the Office of the Municipal Treasurer led by Acting Treasurer Rona Bianca B. Sarmiento.
Farmers were given assistance and formal recognition as part of the local government’s continuing efforts to strengthen agriculture and support rural livelihoods.
Local officials underscored that agricultural progress begins with farmers, emphasizing their essential role in sustaining food security and community development.
