The Municipality of Minalin, headed by Mayor Philip Naguit, on May 27, 2025, officially commenced the planning process for the updating of its Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) for the next ten years.

The initial meeting was attended by the Technical Working Group led by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Eduardo M. Rivera, along with Municipal Budget Officer Ma. Sharon M. Cortez, Municipal Assessor Engr. Ricardo M. Carpio, Municipal Tourism and Information Officer Ar. Romel Z. Tubig, Jr., and consultant Beverly Abad.

Discussions focused on integrating existing and future development plans, zoning ordinances, and government programs, all aligned with the municipality’s long-term vision for growth. The planning initiative aims to guide Minalin toward becoming a more business- and investment-friendly town, in line with its commitment to a #FutureReadyMinalin.

As officials enter a new term of public service, the update to the CLUP serves as a strategic step toward realizing the community’s shared aspirations for sustainable progress and inclusive development.
