Pampanga Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda presided over her first meeting as chair of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), vowing to strengthen the role of barangay councils in crime prevention, particularly in anti-drug efforts and the protection of women and children.
Governor Pineda also announced plans to conduct more frequent PPOC meetings to closely monitor collaboration between government agencies and the private sector.
