NLEX Corporation will provide a toll rebate for motorists using the San Fernando–Pulilan stretch in both northbound and southbound directions, effective September 2, 2026, at 12 noon, amid flooding in San Simon and Tulaoc caused by continuous Habagat rains and elevated water levels in the Pampanga River.
The toll rebate, implemented pursuant to a directive from the Department of Transportation (DOTr), will remain in effect until all lanes along the affected stretch become passable to all classes of vehicles. The rebate will be credited directly to motorists’ RFID accounts the day after their toll passage.
The toll relief supplements the toll-free passage earlier provided to provincial buses since August as part of NLEX’s efforts to support public transportation and ease the burden on commuters affected by the flooding.
NLEX has deployed emergency, maintenance, traffic management, engineering, and customer service teams, along with pumping equipment and sandbags, to manage water accumulation, assist motorists, and address traffic concerns in affected areas.
The company is also coordinating with the DOTr, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM), Philippine Coast Guard, and Pampanga’s local and provincial governments in the ongoing response.
NLEX said its teams remain on the ground to monitor conditions, implement necessary interventions, assist motorists, and help restore normal road conditions as soon as possible.
