The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region 3 held the Regional Disaster Resilience Forum in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on Wednesday, August 20, as the culminating activity of Central Luzon’s observance of National Disaster Resilience Month.
OCD 3 Regional Director Amador Corpus underscored the importance of the forum in strengthening the capacity of local governments and communities to respond to disasters, stressing that early planning and collective action are key to building resilience.
Topics tackled by experts included the Magna Carta for DRRM Workers, proper risk communication, and fund management for disaster risk reduction and management.
The event gathered DRRM officers from provinces, cities, and select municipalities across Central Luzon to deepen coordination and collaboration in disaster preparedness and response.
