Now that the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Angeles City passed on first reading a resolution/ordinance banning e-bikes and e-trikes in the major thoroughfares of the city, most motorists can breathe a sigh of relief by not dealing with drivers of these โ€œnotorious on the roadโ€ drivers.

Most people will agree with me that theyโ€™re โ€œa pain in the a**โ€ on the road as they traverse roads in the passing lane and no one can even move them on the side.

We will have to wait and see if this SP resolution even has a bite that will keep these electric bikes and trikes inside subdivisions and not on main roads.

There seems to be a norm in and around the Clark Freeport Zone.

Youโ€™ll see motorcycle riders with NO helmets. And even if they do, itโ€™s their elbow thatโ€™s wearing it. Whatโ€™s worse is, youโ€™ll see one or even two kids โ€œsandwichedโ€ in between the parents, with no regard for their safety.

This is getting out of hand. And most of the time, theyโ€™re driving without a license.

And they drive like crazy. They (motorcycle drivers) donโ€™t have any patience in traffic. They donโ€™t want to see any other vehicle in front of them. Theyโ€™re daredevils and like to overtake vehicles on their blind sides.

Not only is this dangerous for the riding public but for other motorists as well.

Calling the attention of Angeles City Police Director P/Col. Amado A. Mendoza and acting Mabalacat City Police Director P/Lt. Col. Alfredo Canlas to start deputizing their policemen and start issuing warnings and even issuing citation tickets to those that donโ€™t want to follow the law.

What a big turn-around by a city councilor of San Fernando when, probably pressured, he withdrew his resolution requiring businesses in the city to hire security guards.

Well and good.

But was he thinking how SMEs can afford to pay those guards? Most businesses are just starting to get back on their feet after that dreadful pandemic.

Did he even think about that?

Just wondering.

Those pesky text messages we all receive every day from scammers are very annoying.

Whatever happened to the national registration of SIM cards?

It was supposed to stop or eradicate all those pesky messages. But lo and behold, a minimum of 10 scammer messages get into my messaging system every day and I have to block and delete.

EVERY DAY.

What a pain! National Telecommunications Commission, ANYARE?

Is there an ongoing agreement between these scammers with employees of the commission?

Just pissed and wondering.

Maybe telco companies can do something about this pain.
