The recent appointment of Arrey Perez as President and CEO of the state-owned Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) will usher in more investment opportunities for the Clark Civil Aviation Complex, especially in the development of the privately-run Clark International Airport in Pampanga.

Perez is the Senior Vice-President for Corporate Services Group of CIAC’s parent company Bases Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) until he was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. last September 8, 2023 as President and CEO of CIAC.

Perez will replace OIC President Nancy Paglinawan who is the Vice-President for Administration and Finance.

With Perez at the helm, CIAC is in good hands as he has vast experience in managing vital company services such as human resources, property, procurement, ICT and records management.

He is among the BCDA officials who conceptualized and master planned the 9,450-hectare New Clark City, the Philippines’s first smart, green and disaster-resilient metropolis.

The New Clark City is now bustling with various world and local sporting events from Triathlon, Cycling and Swimming, among others.

The area was among the venues of the South East Asian Games a few years ago where Perez played a major role to realize the holding of the biennial Asian sporting event.

Perez also led the BCDA COVID-19 task forces which successfully implemented the establishment of isolation facilities in various BCDA properties during the pandemic a few years back.

He is also one of the officials who managed the PBA Bubble in the Clark Freeport and at the Angeles University Foundation (AUF) in Angeles City.

CIAC has been at the forefront of attracting foreign and local investments at the Clark civil aviation complex and is now tasked by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) under the leadership of Secretary Jaime Bautista to oversee the functions of the privately-run Clark International Airport.

I am confident that Perez will further harmonize the relationship of CIAC and LIPAD headed by CEO Noel Manankil.
