More than 2,200 farmers and fisherfolk from Tarlac City received financial assistance under the Presidential Assistance for Farmers and Fisherfolk (PAFF) Program during a payout activity held on May 15, 2026 at the Event Center of SM City Tarlac.

The payout was led by the Department of Agriculture in partnership with the City Agriculture Office of Tarlac City as part of efforts to provide immediate support to farmers and fisherfolk affected by challenges in the agriculture and fisheries sectors.
Beneficiaries from various barangays, from Aguso to Maliwalo, received financial aid aimed at helping sustain their livelihood and daily needs.

Officials said the program reflects the continuing collaboration between the national and local governments to ensure that assistance directly reaches farmers and fisherfolk, who play a vital role in maintaining the country’s food security.
Through initiatives such as the PAFF Program, the government continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting and uplifting the welfare of Filipino farmers and fisherfolk.
