Pampanga hosts PRA retiree tour, showcases culture and hospitality

The Provincial Government of Pampanga, led by Governor Lilia G. Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, extended full support to a heritage and cultural tour for around 72 foreign retirees organized by the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA), with assistance from the Provincial Arts, Culture and Tourism Office.

Participants from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, China, Canada, South Korea, and several European countries took part in the initiative, which highlights Pampanga’s continuing push to position itself as a premier retirement destination in the Philippines.

The tour featured a curated itinerary that underscored the province’s rich history, culinary excellence, and public service infrastructure. In Lubao, the group experienced authentic Kapampangan cuisine at the Bamboo Hub and visited the historic St. Augustine Parish Church. They also explored heritage landmarks associated with former Presidents Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Diosdado Macapagal.

The retirees also made a stop at Pradera Verde, where they sampled more local dishes, and visited the newly constructed Pampanga Provincial Hospital in Clark—offering a glimpse of the province’s growing healthcare capabilities.
