The Pampanga provincial government has earned two national awards in local finance, highlighting Gov. Dennis Pineda’s strong performance in revenue generation and management.

The Department of Finance’s Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) ranked Pampanga second among the Top 10 provinces for Local Source Revenues (LSR) in 2023, collecting ₱2.345 billion. This marks an improvement from its No. 3 ranking in 2022.

LSR includes revenues from real property tax, business tax, regulatory fees, service charges, and other sources, according to BLGF Memorandum Circular No. 017-2024.

Pampanga also maintained its second-place rank in the ratio of LSR to total current operating income (TCOI) at 39.65%. TCOI includes locally sourced income and external sources such as the national tax allotment.

Pampanga has consistently placed in BLGF’s top rankings since 2019.

“These awards are proof of good governance. The revenues are being used for services that benefit Kapampangans,” said Governor Pineda.
