Pampanga SP backs Paleng-QR rollout, OKs land donation for Hall of Justice

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Pampanga has approved key resolutions promoting digital payments and supporting infrastructure development in the province.

Under Resolution No. 788, the SP is urging all local government units (LGUs) in Pampanga to issue guidelines for the implementation of the Paleng-QR PH program. The initiative aims to promote the use of digital payments among local businesses and the transport sector, in line with Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1, Series of 2022 between the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.

Meanwhile, Resolution No. 810 authorizes Mayor Jun Tetangco to execute a deed of donation in favor of the provincial government covering a 2,000-square-meter property. The land, donated by his family, is intended as the site for a future Hall of Justice that will house local courts.

The SP also referred to appropriate committees the administrative complaints filed before the Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon against two Pampanga officials for further review and action.
