The Sangguniang Panlalawigan has placed Pampanga under a State of Calamity following the approval of Resolution No. 06, Series of 2026 during its regular session on August 12.

The declaration, based on the recommendation of the Pampanga Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) led by Governor Lilia G. Pineda, aims to expedite government response and the delivery of assistance to communities affected by the ongoing calamity.

Provincial officials said the safety, welfare, and immediate needs of Pampanga residents remain the top priority as the province intensifies its disaster response.
