President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally visited 69 families, or 308 individuals, temporarily staying at the Mini Convention Center evacuation center in Bacolor to check on their condition after being affected by flooding caused by heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon, or Habagat.
The President was accompanied by DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, Vice Governor Dennis ‘Delta’ Pineda and Bacolor Mayor Eduardo Diman Datu.

The government is providing immediate assistance to affected residents, with 566 heads of households set to receive ₱10,000 each in cash aid, while 462 families will receive food packs and hygiene kits.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is also distributing ready-to-eat food packs, hygiene kits and cash assistance to evacuees.
A Mobile Kitchen was likewise deployed to provide hot and nutritious meals as part of the government’s intensified relief efforts for families affected by the flooding.
