“Although Corregidor Island is already a part of Cavite City in Region IV-A, we at PENRO Bataan commit to continuing this kind of activity to protect and preserve the beauty and history of Corregidor,” he furthered.

Mamac said PENRO Bataan committed to help PENRO Cavite in collecting the accumulated solid wastes along coastal areas of Corregidor and looks forward to the partnership between the provinces in this kind of activities.

“We hope that all our efforts in coastal clean-up activities will be a lesson to the people to properly dispose their trash and soon our coastal areas will be garbage-free,” he said.

The activity was done in partnership with Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Marines, and Philippine Information Agency. (PIA 3)
