Authorities in Lubao, Pampanga swiftly apprehended a man suspected of killing his stepson and attempting to murder his wife, capturing the suspect within 36 hours of the crime.

The accused, identified only as “Harold,” was arrested through a coordinated effort by Central Luzon law enforcement agencies, showcasing their determination to swiftly bring criminals to justice.

The tragic incident occurred on the afternoon of April 3, 2025, sparking a rapid response from the Lubao Municipal Police Station, Pampanga Police Intelligence Unit, and Pampanga SWAT.

Their investigation led them to Brgy. San Roque Dau 1st, Lubao, where they located “Harold” hiding at the home of his uncle, “Ronald.” The uncle, who had attempted to shelter him, was also arrested for Obstruction of Justice.

Upon searching the suspect’s belongings, officers discovered a hand grenade and two mobile phones, further strengthening the case against “Harold.” He now faces multiple charges, including Homicide, Attempted Homicide (under Republic Act 9262, Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), and Illegal Possession of Firearms, Ammunition, and Explosives (under Republic Act 9516). His uncle will also be charged with Obstruction of Justice.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo praised the swift action of the law enforcement teams, underscoring their commitment to justice.

With the suspect now in custody, the Pampanga Police and PRO3 continue their pledge to uphold justice, safety, and security in Central Luzon, ensuring law and order prevail.
