A total of 4,841 Guagua residents affected by the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and flooding received relief assistance from the Provincial Government of Pampanga and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, together with DSWD Regional Director Venus Rebuldela, personally led the distribution of food packs and checked on residents from Barangays San Antonio, San Pablo, San Pedro, Sto. Cristo, and San Rafael.
Each family received food packs containing rice, tuna, sardines, corned beef, coffee, and other essential supplies.
Guagua Mayor Anthony Torres, Vice Mayor Jun Lim, 2nd District Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon and Sajid Khan Eusoof, Atty. Claire Lim, and provincial department heads also joined the relief operations.
The provincial government continues to strengthen its response to ensure that affected Kapampangans receive timely assistance amid the ongoing impact of Habagat and flooding.
