Right-of-way for Guiguinto Bypass Road completed – The Voice Newsweekly

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the entire right-of-way on the route where the Guiguinto Bypass Road Project will pass through.

According to DPWH Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara, there has been an embankment or piling along its entire route from the southbound Plaridel Arterial Bypass Road to Daang Maharlika near the Sta. Rita Exit of the North Luzon Expressway.

The Department of Public Works and Highways has built the retaining wall for the Guiguinto Bypass Road project now that the right-of-way for its passage has been completed. This will be the new road that will connect Plaridel Arterial Bypass Road and Daang Maharlika. (PIA 3)

The project, which has a total cost of 485 million pesos, was initiated in 2019 and is targeted for completion in the year 2025.

Based on the DPWH record, 100 percent has been achieved in the purchase of the right-of-way while 60 percent has been built on the retaining wall. This will serve as the boundary of the piled land that will be laid out by the two-lane road.

Once completed in 2025, the Guiguinto Bypass Road will serve as an alternative road for vehicles going from Plaridel Bypass Road to Daang Maharlika without going through the congested streets of the barangays of Tabe and Sta. Rita in Guiguinto.

It will also be of great help to speed up the movement of goods in and out of the industrial complexes within the town of Guiguinto.

Meanwhile, Alcantara also said that the two-lane Guiguinto Bypass Road is just an initial phase.  The purchased right-of-way has a provision to expand to four lanes in the future.

The DPWH bases the purchase on the right-of-way based on the current price of the land and properties affected by the project in accordance with the provision of Republic Act 10752 or the Right-of-Way Act of 2015. (PIA 3)
