The Santungan ning Kulturang Kapampangan (SKK) has been officially declared the Cultural Hub of Pampanga, in a ceremony held at the historic site of the former Pampanga High School and UP Extension Program.
The declaration was led by Department of Tourism–Region III Director Richard Daenos, in collaboration with the Foundation for Lingap Kapampangan Inc. (FLKI) and the Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office of the Provincial Government of Pampanga (ACTOP).
Now a dedicated center for heritage, language, and the arts, the SKK will serve as a venue for workshops, exhibits, and programs promoting Kapampangan identity and cultural literacy.
Representing Governor-elect Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor-elect Dennis “Delta” Pineda was Board Member-elect Atty. Claire Lim, joined by Provincial Tourism Officer Mike Castañeda and tourism officers from various LGUs, underscoring the Capitol’s full support.
According to Director Daenos, heritage initiatives at SKK are expected to strengthen Pampanga’s cultural tourism landscape.
