SEC extends filing fee discounts for MSMEs

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has extended the availability of discounted registration fees for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to further support business growth.

Under SEC Memorandum Circular No. 13, Series of 2026, the 20 percent discount on corporate registration fees is now extended until December 31, 2026. The reduced rates, first implemented in July 2025, have already generated P54.77 million in savings for MSMEs.

SEC Chairperson Francis Lim said the extension aims to make doing business more accessible and affordable, helping entrepreneurs formalize operations, access financing, and expand their ventures.

Meanwhile, the 50 percent discount on securities registration for MSMEs remains in effect until June 30, also covering select industries under streamlined processes.

The SEC said the initiative aligns with the Magna Carta for MSMEs, which classifies enterprises based on asset size, reinforcing support for small businesses as key drivers of the Philippine economy.
