Senator Imee Marcos and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Pogi’ Lazatin Jr. led the distribution of Assistance to Individual in Crisis Situations (AICS) to the first batch 1,000 indigent beneficiaries in the city on Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Sen. Marcos commended the Angeles City’s ‘Pusong Mamon’ program, the localized version of the national government’s nutribun initiative, which aims to fight malnutrition of Angeleño children.

“Champion talaga ang mayor ng Angeles City. Dito pala sa inyo, binuhay ninyo ang nutribun — mayroon kayong Pusong Mamon!” said Senator Imee.

Pusong Mamon, which was launched by Mayor Lazatin, supervised by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, targets to complement the national government’s feeding program.

Also present during the distribution were DSWD Regional Director Jonathan Dirain, Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting, Chief Adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel and some department heads and officers-in-charge.

The AICS program is a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crisis such as illness or death of a family member, and other crisis situations. (Angeles CIO)
