Acting Senate President and Senate President Pro Tempore Win Gatchalian has authorized the release of salaries and benefits for all Senate employees, assuring that compensation for the nearly 2,100-member Senate workforce will be released without delay.

Gatchalian signed the payroll documents and authorized the disbursement of salaries and benefits through the Land Bank of the Philippines, following the recognition of his authority as Acting Senate President and authorized signatory for Senate financial transactions.

He said the Senate continues to function and fulfill its obligations despite ongoing political developments.

“Ang mga kawani ng Senado ay araw-araw na nagsisilbi para sa bayan, at responsibilidad ko bilang namumuno sa Senado na tiyaking natatanggap nila ang kanilang sweldo at benepisyo sa tamang oras,” Gatchalian said.

The acting Senate chief stressed that Senate employees should receive their compensation and benefits on time and without disruption.

He added that maintaining the uninterrupted operations of the Senate remains a priority.

“Ang mahalaga ay patuloy na maayos ang operasyon ng Senado at nagagampanan nito ang mga tungkulin nito para sa taumbayan,” Gatchalian said.

The release of salaries and benefits ensures that Senate personnel continue to receive their compensation as scheduled while the institution carries out its legislative and administrative functions.
