The Spanish Government expressed their support on the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Spanish Ambassador Miguel Utray Delgado personally attended the Arrival, Turn-over, and Blessing of the new C-295 medium lift aircraft of the Philippine Air Force held at Clark Air Base, Pampanga.

He expressed his desire to witness more modern equipment like different types of aircraft that can be used in maritime patrol or submarine operations in the future .

Delgado also mentioned the importance of technology transfer in the Philippines not only in the aeronautical sector but also in the space sector which will help the newly established Philippine Space Agency.

He also announced the upcoming International Defense and Security Exhibition to be held in Madrid, Spain this coming May.

Representatives from the Philippines were invited to witness the capabilities of the Spanish Defense and Security Industry that can be adapted to the country. (PIA Gitnang Luzon)
