Competitors in Angeles City’s first Reyna de Las Flores or Queen of Flowers here are set to don “Gawang Angeleño” gowns during the contest proper on May 20, 2023. This is in accordance with Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.’s directive to include in the competition the promotion of both Angeleño artistry and the city’s flower businesses by showcasing locally-designed gowns.
